Jazz/Pop Band



 WCS Jazz/Pop Band

Rehearsals are on Mondays from 2:45-3:45, starting 10/28.

All musicians need to sign up  by returning the sign up form  by 10/21. 

All grade 7 and 8 musicians are welcome to join. 
 Grade 6 musicians are welcome by invitation based on achievement and commitment. 

CVSD JAZZ FEST

Who? WCS Jazz/Pop Band 

What? Each CVSD band will take turns performing and will end with all 8th graders performing one piece together. 

When? Wednesday, May 14 at 7:00 pm.

 8th graders arrive by 6pm for pizza and a district wide 8th grade rehearsal. 

 5th, 6th and 7th graders: Arrive at 6:30 pm please.

Where? CVU Theater (musicians meet in the band room)

What to wear? black pants, blue Performing Arts shirt. 


Please honor this commitment. We are a small group and everyone is needed!

Monday, 5/12-2:50-3:45 rehearsal


Wednesday, 5/14- CVSD Jazz Festival (see above) 

Monday, 5/19-2:50-3:45 rehearsal

Tuesday, 5/20- WCS concert day. 5th and 6th graders- please note that the Jazz/Pop  Band will play in the Grade ⅞  concert!    

Monday, 6/2-  2:50-3:45 rehearsal

Monday, 6/9- 2:50-3:45 rehearsal

Thursday, 6/12- Performance before 8th Grade Graduation  





Directions to the theater: 

1) Enter the building at the red arrow 

2) Turn left and the theater will be on your right.


Directions to the band room:

1) Enter the building at the red arrow 

2) Turn left and go to the end of the hallway. 

3) At the end of the hall, turn right (it will be the only choice). The    

    band room is about halfway down this hall, on the right.

Tuesday, May 20- WCS 7/8 Concert 
Thursday, June 12- WCS graduation
